Spot the Difference!

Posted by arisoziar on Jun 16, 2011

Our Engineering Stores at Subang are phasing out their Sodium vapour lamps for CFL ones (Compact Fluorescent Lights).  The CFL lights consume only 125 watts vs 250 watts for the existing Sodium Vapour lamps.  They also have a high ROI of only 1 year, meaning there really is an economic push for energy efficiency.  Plasma lights are even more efficient but are a lot more expensive.

Can you spot the difference?

this is a sodium vapour light

...and this is CFL... er hang on... or is it the other way round?

This time at our Business Support  Centre – strategically placed so that you will pass it as you enter the department.  And would you look at the landscaping – genius.  Oh dear… will have to beautify our bins.  Have to keep up with the Joneses!

And in case you’re wondering, our Business Support Department is the one that looks at all our online transactions and processes the fraudulent ones.  Because you know what?  Costs incurred by cardholders in fraudulent transactions will almost inevitably be borne by MAS.  So now you know why you have to enter a password on top of your credit card numbers.

Welcome to Malaysia Airlines’ Green Journey!

We have just started this blog to discuss the initiatives that our airline has taken, in reducing our impact to the environment, in offsetting this impact, and in creating the change required to slow down the damage that we have been doing since industrialisation.

It's in our hands now..

It's in our hands now..

While you can already see this blog, it has not officially been launched yet- chances are you found this blog via a search engine. As such there is no content as yet beyond what you are reading now.

If you would like more information on the initiatives and activities that Malaysia Airlines is undertaking, please visit the official page.

We hope you will join us in creating a better and cleaner world to leave behind for our children.
